Just Over the Horizon
February 2024

Greetings!

Wow. What an eventful past 30 days. The release of Red Planet Lancers on the 23rd is my most ambitious yet. Lots of moving parts.
Just last week I finished composing posts for a virtual blog tour through Goddess Fish Promotions. I’ve done virtual tours through them in the past and really enjoy them. I’m able to reveal quite a bit about myself, and what goes into my writing. The tour runs Monday, Feb 26th through Friday, March 1st. I know I reveal a bit about myself in these newsletters, but if you’re curious to learn a bit more about me, CLICK HERE during launch week, then click on the date(s) you’re interested in. I always reply to blog comments when the blog owner allows.
Thanks to the discount price of $2.99, presales of Red Planet Lancers are the best of any previous book, and trending up. Fingers crossed. I’m hoping for lots of presales so Red Planet Lancers breaks into bestseller status. If you haven’t reserved your copy to lock in this deal, CLICK HERE.
Something I’m doing differently this year, I’m offering FREE my first-in-series book Crimson Lucre the week of Feb 19 through 23. If you want to get half of the EPSILON SciFi Thrillers at a deep discount, add Crimson Lucre to your purchase of Red Planet Lancers.
Now for some really good news. I’ve tried to qualify my previous books for Book Bub’s New Releases for Less, without luck. But this time, they accepted Red Planet Lancers!!! That means Red Planet Lancers will be in front of over 900,000 pairs of eyeballs. The wrinkle is that the date they assigned is March 12. Better late than never, eh? So, to accommodate Book Bub I’m extending the presale discount price of $2.99 to March 15th. The release date remains the same, February 26th.
And lastly some qualified good news. As some of you may be aware, Google and Yahoo have implemented more stringent webhost documentation for commercial newsletters like Just Over the Horizon (They’re called DMARC records). I’ve always limited my emails to you to either this newsletter, or strictly promotional messages. And I’ve always sought consent from my subscribers for the privilege to do so. But the new documentation requirements are a whole other layer of complicated. I’ve spent countless hours on video chats, messaging and emails with my email service provider and my webhost trying to meet the new requirements. But I’m pleased to announce that after losing a great deal of hair, and several nights of sleep, I received word on Friday that the final record for my webhost propagated. But then my newsletter provider went down (More hair loss!). Then the rascals didn't bother to let me know they finally fixed the problem.
Bottom line, in all the confusion I couldn't properly research a science/technology article for this issue. I promise I’ll do better by you next month. In the meantime, take advantage of the incredible pricing of Crimson Lucre and Red Planet Lancers.
Happy Reading,
Brian

The US Space Force, occupied with plans to take back the moon, refuses to intervene.
In a race against time, Dallas Gordon must organize a mercenary squadron and pursue Song before he can deploy his weapons on the defenseless colony. Ep City commander Genady Antonov must prepare his civilian workforce for the coming invasion and plan for the unthinkable should Gordon fail to reach Mars before Song does.

A propulsive Sci-Fi thriller with the right mix of adventure, emotional resonance, and speculative science … reads like Dean Koontz meets Andy Weir.
