Hello Sunshine...

We're flying through April and I'm enjoying the longer days.

It's felt like a transitional month (maybe due to a new tax year?!), even though most of my work has continued, but I have also started some new projects. I'm increasingly aware of taking a work break (maternity leave!) in just a few months time and feel like I've got a lot to do.

I'll be honest, this week especially has been quite different from planned and I've had to take some extra time off, so I'm hoping I'm back in action by the time this goes out.

Please keep reading to find out what going on in May in my world and beyond...

The past month...

I completed my Coaching Course with Relational Dynamics 1st. You can read more below if you are interested in trying out coaching.

Work is underway for SO Festival 2023. We are about to start a project with people with learning disabilities to create site décor, as part of the new Community Co-Creation Hub model.

We had our first meeting as the Festival of the Sea Steering Group, selecting the programme, where it was great to see a wealth of interest in the event.

I have joined the Lincoln Arts Centre Critical Friends Group and I'm really excited to see what the next few years brings for this venue who have just become an NPO.

Another new NPO I have been working with is The Culture House, with lots of ambitious plans underway for this year and beyond.

Preparation is underway for the LOV 'Creative Arts Weekender' on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th June, with both sector and public facing activity at Lincoln Arts Centre.

And so much more including continuing work on the Coritani funding bid, feeding into the Grimsby Creates CDF evaluation, YSWN WIRED project development, meetings, phone calls, endless emails...

The next month...

We have the final few sessions coming up with the Grimsby Creates Trainee Producers, including an evaluation session, workshops open to all, then I'll need to write up the evaluation for the project.

Preparations will be underway for Our Future Starts Here with The Culture House, which is quickly approaching at the end of May.

I'm developing a Town Centre user guide for events happening in Grimsby.

I'll be continuing to work on the LOV Creative Arts Weekender event and SO Festival projects, both coming up in June.

As part of the Yorkshire Sound Women Network WIRED Project, I'm working on launching an online space with resources and content aimed at girls aged 11-18. I'll also be spending some time looking at the future of the WIRED project and plans for this summer and beyond.

The LOV Connected Creatives is rapidly approaching the end, so I'll be continuing to support the bursary holders and feeding into the overall programme evaluation.

I'll be stepping away from the South Yorkshire Dance Hub in my role as Coordinator there, whilst also starting to prepare to hand over some over projects for my maternity leave.

1 to 1 Coaching Now Available
Including FREE sessions

I recently completed my coaching training with Relational Dynamics 1st, and can now offer 1 to 1 coaching sessions online via Zoom or in person.

Coaching is about working with you as an individual to find your own solutions to moving forward with a goal, using the skills and resources you already have. We will discuss a goal and I’ll ask a series of questions to prompt your thinking, developing your own actions to move forwards. I can support with anything in work, life or in between, but my real interest is working with emerging creatives in Greater Lincolnshire, especially around aspirations.

I am currently developing my own coaching practice so have one free session to offer each week (one per person) and following this, an introductory rate of £15 per 1 hour session.

Did you know you can write activities like coaching into a DYCP application?!
