Have you ever wondered if you were good enough? If what you do makes a big enough impact on those around you or the world?
Even through this purposeful work of connecting to loving spirit and helping others in closure and healing, I still question if its enough. Could I do more or make a bigger impact? The thing is, we sometimes misjudge the gauge of influence we have on others. What feels like an incredibly small gesture to us, can be a powerful seed that grows in another.
Recently I had a client who had a young gentleman come through during a reading. At first we had a hard time identifying who he was to her. The clarity of his message grew as the session went on and we found that he was a previous patient of my client (who’s profession is in human services) whom she had no idea had passed. He came through to thank my client for the impact she left on him, over a short period of time many years ago. He stated that her genuine kindness and her “no BS attitude” (his words- slightly edited) was a rare thing to find in his life and exactly what he needed. What felt like a normal interaction for my client was severely impactful for her patient. So much so that he made sure to come back to share his gratitude after his life ended.
Sometimes we miss the small validations of our impacts because they are not coming the way we expect or hope they will. Our greatness is not measured by achievements, awards, money or power. It is measured by the trail of influence we leave on others. Are the impacts or impressions you leave on others positive? Or could they use some improvement?
When I go to that place of asking if I am enough or if what I do is enough, the Universe works in it beautiful ways to remind me that it is. It is always enough. Sometimes I will randomly get a message from a previous client thanking me for the profound experience they had with me. Or one of my children will randomly run up and hug me and tell my I’m the best mom in the whole world. This is how I measure my success. It’s not how much money is in the bank or how many followers I have on social media. My success is measured by the meaningful connections in my life. I give love and I receive love and so I am abundant and life is full.
Try to spread more love and positivity to others, you don’t know who is watching or needing the example. You do have the power to change someone’s life, even in passing at the grocery store. Love and kindness is the key to greatness. The more you give the more you will receive.
