Life takes us on a journey with so many unexpected twists and turns that at first look are frightening, but later we find them necessary pushes toward growth. This month I have found myself in such a position that has forced me to face, yet another, layer of unnecessary self limitation, not only in my purposeful work, but in all aspects of my life.
When new opportunities open we either rejoice and claim it readily or we retreat with worry and fear. When planning and creating new exciting opportunities we usually anticipate our reactions as the former. Although for many, it’s the latter reaction that takes control. Whether it is the fear of failure or the fear of success it comes down to feeling worthy.
Just like most people, I struggle with worthiness, most especially when creating in my purposeful work. So often we look to others to validate our worth, looking for acceptance of what and who we should be or do. I have found vulnerability, lack of confidence and the readiness to do the work other major components that also influence our worth.
The truth is, the value of our worth is NOT in others opinions - most especially from those who do not understand us. When we stop looking for outside sources to validate us, we can focus on our inner voice and intuition to lead us to extraordinary paths that will fill our soul and align with our purpose. We are all worthy in receiving all we desire and are capable of living our dreams with purpose and fulfillment.
To achieve is not without fear, it is about taking the leap of faith in ourselves no matter the outcome. Whether we fail or succeed the journey is always worth it. There is growth and experience in failure and inspiration in success.
