Last night while journaling about my recent fears I received a phone call that changed everything. Before this call I was processing my deep rooted fears about being vulnerable and being seen (for the 100th time). While I am making progress, ever so slowly, in removing these layers of protection I have clung onto for most of my life (as a trauma response and as an unconscious shield for the fear of being burned at the stake - this is a real fear of mine), I continue to allow this fear to occupy much of my energy.
In perfect Universal timing I received a call that reminded me to pull back from my own situation and look at the larger perspective. This call was with someone who is currently struggling with fear, loss and shame of a magnitude I will never understand, experiencing the unimaginable and doing so with inspired strength and positivity. After this call I was humbled by this beautiful example that when we give in face our fears and find the positivity in it, we can then understand the larger picture as to why facing our fears can offer profound changes… not just in your life but by also affecting and inspiring so many more to do the scary things to find their plaice in this world and thrive.
I was reminded that I AM strong enough to live my dreams. That I can stand up and help others, like them, in reminding them of their power, light and strength to not only move through their situation, but to embrace every aspect of themselves to thrive no matter the circumstance. You too have this power. Do not let your fears stop you. Try to see the bigger perspective and dig deep to find your courage to face it. You are not alone. You are supported. I believe in you. I believe in me too. So lets be brave together.
