Over the years as I have become more aware of who I really am, connecting with the light with in myself (the purest untainted part - the soul), I have spent much time working through many layers of understanding the bigger meanings life. While years ago I discovered the meaning of life to be LOVE - to love and be loved unconditionally to the core of our uniquenesses, I since have been working on learning what to do with it once appreciated.
Let me warn you here, while the purpose to life sounds easy and simple, it is also the most complicated of human emotions. We learn by our environments and if we have been surrounded by situations, people, events and/or karmic lessons that have shown how unkind or how detached our world can be, then aligning with the highest purpose of life is a very difficult task to say the least.
These life complications trigger a survival response within us that activates as a temporary safeguard that is meant to help us survive for a period of time until we can take our power back from said situation(s), people, events’, etc. However, without the support of a safe and loving environment or the help of beautiful light workers (like therapists, social workers, counselors - spiritual/religious/licensed, etc.) one can find themselves ‘stuck’ in survival mode all their life, missing out on the wonderful meaning of life. Taking the time to take care of yourself in every layer of your existence is key to deactivating what was meant to be a temporary shield to your survival. Yet, the only way to flip the switch from survival to thriving is choosing to. It may be a long and complicated road to healing, but the best of what this life has to offer is found on this path.
I have recently learned that there is a difference between the purpose and the meaning of life. While the purpose is LOVE, the meaning is yet another simple small word we all know… JOY. Seriously… JOY is the secret to thriving in your own life. We have been taught over generations or even millennia that we should take life seriously and not mess around after a certain age (for some that includes their youth). But THAT is what stops us from reaching our fullest potentials. The best ideas and creative inspiration comes from our imaginations, something we were taught to ignore in our adolescence. Nothing in life should be taken too seriously. Yes we need to take care of ourselves and others, but that does not mean we should deny ourselves with the pleasures of life.
Keep in mind that balance is the key to all things. If ice cream brings you joy, too much can cause many health concerns. The same with many other activities and choices. Too much of something can bring harm, even with the best of intentions. Make choices for yourself that brings you joy and aligns with love. That is the recipe that will send you thriving in your own life. Let go of fear and the past and create your most perfect future. YOU are the only one in your life with that power.
